 Raising Brilliance, LLC is a faith-centered advocacy and coaching business created to support families navigating autism, ADHD, IEPs, 504 Plans, behavioral challenges, school communication, and special education services. Our mission is to help parents feel informed, supported, and empowered while recognizing the unique brilliance in every child. .


 

At Raising Brilliance, LLC, our support comes from both professional expertise and real-life experience navigating autism, special education, advocacy, and parenting.

April O'Steen

April is a certified educator in both Georgia and Alaska and is also a certified parent coach. She brings extensive educational knowledge along with personal experience as Eli’s adoptive mother.

Her experience includes:

  • Autism and sensory support 
  • Emotional regulation and behavioral strategies 
  • Parent coaching and family support 
  • School collaboration and communication 
  • IEP and 504 guidance 
  • Educational advocacy 
  • Supporting children with big emotions and learning differences 

As both an educator and parent, April understands the challenges families face not only academically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.

Glenn O'Steen

Glenn brings leadership, advocacy, organizational, and coaching experience developed through:

  • Nearly two decades in public sector leadership 
  • Experience teaching accounting, finance, and management at the collegiate level 
  • Extensive firsthand experience navigating IEP meetings, autism services, therapies, and school systems as Eli’s father 
  • Strong background in communication, strategic planning, negotiation, contracts, and documentation 
  • A faith-centered leadership approach focused on encouragement and empowerment 

Glenn’s journey as a father navigating autism advocacy helped inspire the creation of Raising Brilliance.


 Raising Brilliance was born from real-life experience navigating autism, parenting, school systems, emotional struggles, and advocacy firsthand. We combine compassion, practical guidance, educational insight, and faith-based encouragement.  

The heart of Raising Brilliance is the combination of:

  • Real-life parenting experience 

We understand the paperwork and processes — but we also understand the tears, exhaustion, uncertainty, and victories because we have lived them ourselves.

 No. Raising Brilliance, LLC does not provide legal advice or legal representation. We provide educational advocacy, coaching, support, and guidance based on personal and professional experience. 


 Yes. Depending on availability and location, we may attend meetings virtually or in person to help parents feel supported and prepared. 


An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a legally binding educational plan designed for students who qualify for special education services under IDEA. It outlines goals, accommodations, services, and supports tailored to the child’s needs.


 A 504 Plan provides accommodations and support for students with disabilities who may not qualify for special education services but still need assistance to access their education successfully.


No. While autism advocacy is a major focus, we also support families dealing with ADHD, anxiety, learning disabilities, sensory challenges, behavioral concerns, and school-related struggles.


Yes. Our mission is rooted in faith, hope, compassion, and the belief that every child is fearfully and wonderfully made.

Yes. Virtual coaching and consultation options are available for families regardless of location. 


We support families with children across a wide range of ages — from preschool through high school and transition planning into adulthood.
